About Shik Do Rak
Two All-You-Can-Eat Dining Rooms
Shik Do Rak runs all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in Irvine, on Jeffrey Road, and in Garden Grove, on Garden Grove Boulevard. Every table has its own grill and vent, and you cook the meat yourself while servers bring the next round.
The Sets
The menu is built around numbered sets. Set 3-1 is the largest, with about 30 items: short rib, marinated short rib, skirt steak, prime brisket, prime bulgogi, New York steak, beef tongue, pork neck, wine, curry and garlic pork belly, squid, shrimp, little octopus and intestine. Set 3-2 has 26 items and set 3-3 has 15. Set 3-4, with 10 items built on brisket, pork belly and bulgogi, was served at weekday lunch and after 9:15 PM on the 2018 menu.
The sets include soups such as spicy tofu soup and soybean paste stew, with steamed egg and fried rice on the larger sets, and banchan come to the table. Reviewers single out the brisket, the bulgogi (marinated less sweet than at most places), the paper rice, the seaweed side dish and the radish kimchi.
Before You Go
Both locations open at 11:30 AM daily and stay open until 11:30 PM, or midnight Thursday through Saturday. Garden Grove has parking behind the building and free soft-serve frozen yogurt after the meal.
